I have been following Magdalena Wszelaki for years and have waited patiently for her book which is MUCH more than a cookbook, to be published. You have everything you need at your fingertips to heal. A little bit about me and why this book, in my opinion, offers guidance on healing: When I first came across Magdalena I was in dire straits with adrenal insufficiency and hormone imbalance. I had been to doctor after doctor trying to heal myself. However, most doctors were only interested in healing the “symptoms” (with medications!) but never interested in getting to the root cause which Magdalena nailed instantly; it was my gut. Every word Magdalena spoke resonated with me and I decided to try cooking for hormonal balance. Basically, Magdalena got me to start untangling myself to allow the healing to begin. She taught me about setting the foundation with cooking and seed rotation. I typically would have 2 months of feeling ok only to crash in the third month. Now, after incorporating Cooking for Balance and seed rotation, I do not fluctuate. My hair and nails are growing and my gut is healing. I am forever grateful to Magdalena for her words of wisdom and guidance AND now I have it all in writing in front of me ALL the time in this amazing cookbook. Gut and hormone imbalance does not happen overnight and healing won't either; be realistic. Be patient with the process and you will be glad you did.

This book and process has helped me sooooo much! My TSH was rising every year from being on a paleo diet. I ate lots of nuts, cassava, millet and flax, all have goitegens in them Which will affect your thyroid. Who knew?!!? So I watched some of Magdalena’s Webinars and followed her recipes and tips and my tsh went from 17.9 down to 3.9 in three months. My Antibodies went from 34 to 22. I went to holistic drs and medical Drs and everythig they gave me made my numbers go up!!! I am now making recipes from this book and they are all so good. Please buy this book if you can’t get your thyroid in check! No need for much medication just a few supplements!! Try it it works!!!!

This book is phenomenal and a work of art! What I love most about this book is the unique recipes, and the fact that Magdalena really empowered me to use healing culinary herbs and ingredients as a part of a complete hormonal healing plan. Some of my favorites are the grain free pizzas, the innovative salad dressings, and the healing teas and lattes. You will enjoy this book, and it will support your hormonal health from puberty through menopause and beyond! This book is ideal for anyone struggle with PCOS, estrogen dominance, cancer, hot flashes and other perimenopause symptoms, stress intolerance, low libido, or chronic fatigue.

The recipes are ok , the idea behind them and the pictures are better than the final results and taste. It was interesting getting to know the author, however, I am a little troubled by all of the products that are coming out after the book. Giving the author’s prior profession ( strategic planner in advertising), I can see the reason for the programs and products that’s been offered, However , it really reminds me of an amazing doctor who said these days everybody, any doctor or other professional who might not even have much knowledge or experience in nutrition are checking in this topic coming out with books and all sorts of products since we people are buying into it.I am not sure if I would recommend this book.

Not only are these recipes delicious, they are just what women need to balance their hormones naturally. As a women's health expert, I recommend a hormone friendly diet as the foundation to all my protocols. Magdalena has made it easier (and tastier) than ever to eat the foods that nourish your hormones, balance your estrogen and help you create more energy and glowing skin. Every woman should own a copy of this book.

I stumbled upon Magdalena's blog searching for candida remedies. Her blog had the info I was looking for and more regarding the hormone imbalances that wreak havoc in a woman's body. So, I pre-ordered this book.My 3 year old, who is on a book collecting/pretend reading phase says that the book is heavy. Yes! for me.. heavy in content and quality pertaining to hormone issues, suggestions on grocery shopping, meal planning and of course recipes (its a cookbook!). I have come across many books that talk and give recipes about a specific condition like candida or IBS. But this book (and her blog) address various relating health issues in women and accordingly the recipes are formulated! This is the best part I liked in the book.The book is very helpful for my cooking (especially when trying to get off sugar and improve digestion). The topics are well organized and explained with assessments for each condition and the pictures are colorful.I have tried few recipes and they turned out well. My kiddos liked them too. Happy that we are not eating junk into our bodies!I would definitely recommend this book to anyone dealing with candida, estrogen dominance, adrenal, thyroid and digestive issues and to anyone who wants to eat healthy.

If you are having hormone balance problems you must get this book; it's the best on this topic. Many times books come out with great info but it's hard to digest like a medical research paper. This book provides all the hard core research but it reads like a coffee table book that will inspire you to start making positive changes. I know I'll be using this as a reference for years to come.
