This wonderful and beautiful book, "Handmade Birdhouses and Feeders" in Paperback by Michele Mckee Orsini – published February 14, 2013, is now my favorite Birdhouse book. Ms. Orsini has laid out one of my best experiences in Birdhouse books and Natural Design art for those of us whose visual needs and attention, really find delightful. With complete explanations given in print of the author's mindset when approaching these birdhouses and feeders. She builds on exceptional Pictures of her work, with thorough explanation of how they are well thought out and constructed, what materials are used, detail and dimension and step by step given for building each of her ideas. If you would like to own one birdhouse building book, I would recommend this book. If you buy it other books may come up lacking and to be less than satisfying. So, go ahead and spoil yourself, buy this great birdhouse and feeder book and just ruin the others out there for you. I love it.
The book is full of interesting and unique designs of birdhouses and feeders, with full color pictures. The basic wood pattern is the same for most, but then you customize them so they look completely different. Good directions and doesn't require a master woodworker. Can't wait to make some of these!8/10/14 Update: I have now made 3 of the birdhouses. The directions were easy to follow and the birdhouses turned out great. I absolutely love this book. It is the BEST one of its kind that I have ever purchased and used. I wish the author would put out another book as I can't find any other book that compares. Highly, highly recommend!!!

These recipes are awesome! We have had a few of them, and they have all turned out amazing. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to have a cache of some really great home made ice cream recipes.
It was ok. The outside cover looks bright and inviting. The inside pages are not pleasing. No color. I would not have bought it if I had seen the inside.
My wife has been going through these recipes like crazy. They're all delicious so far. The only downside is that most of them seem to call for raw eggs and it has taken some mental gymnastics to get used to that idea.
great, just be careful, recipes are for 1 gallon. most makers are only 2 quarts!
This is a decent ice cream recipe book. Bought as a gift for our daughter-in-law to use with her new (also gift) Nostalgia Electrics ICMP400BLUE 4-Quart Electric Ice Cream Maker....which is an excellent ice cream maker by the way. The book is not a large book and is nothing fancy, but it has 58 easy to follow recipes that do seem to work.
This book has a lot of recipes but, it does not include sorbets and has very few NO COOK recipes. If you have the time to plan in advance then I suppose this will be OK. But for people that are going out on a picnic or BBQ and just want to churn out some delicious ice cream, research no cook recipes in advance. This book is filled with mostly cook recipes. The no cook vanilla was delicious but, I suppose that was because I used real vanilla and not complete due to the recipe in the book. This book is just OK.

The self-told tale of a Canadian intellectual who journeyed north from Harvard, after a long stay in the United States, to run for elective office in his home country. His goal was not just to obtain just any parliamentary seat , but eventually to be the next Liberal Party prime minister. He failed, but learned a lot about practical politics and voters. This book is aimed at encouraging potential candidates for office in a democracy, especially liberal/progressives. Mr. Ignatieff is a true believer in the value of big government and social programs. He finds one of the big ills now to be the amount of money now sloshing around national campaigns in Canada, let alone the United States. He is for rural development, against handguns, for the French-speaking minority, for roads, health care for all, against discrimination of about any kind, for higher taxes, for public financing of elections, etc.I, personally, do not favor many of Mr. Ignatieff's political solutions, but I am particularly opposed to one: from p.133, "Libel laws should also be used to punish the worst [campaign] lies."Just what is needed: more lawyers and judges involved with determining the fine boundaries of "appropriate" political speech.Still all-in-all a good and well-written book for everyone--not merely Canadians and not only liberals-- with a keen interest in political campaigns and the practical realities of governance in a modern democracy.

Must admire his courage ( arrogance ?) in believing he could take his theoretical observations into the hands on arena. I do think he could have made more comments on the workings of power within the Party - he couldn't be that naive about power. Good read... read it.

Another in the excellent series of healthy recipe books from the AHA. If you have an issue with fat or cholesterol in your diet, believe me, this recipe book (and the others in the series) will once again help you look forward to dining again. There are so many great recipes, it's hard to pick which is best but I would highly recommend the Cheesecake ... that's right, Cheesecake ;;; made with non-fat yogurt. To die for. You might have to beef up you spice rack with some new items but it's worth it.
When I purchased this item I had no idea it would be in the great shape it was in. It was even spiral bound as to read receipes from as you made the dish. And the book itself? JUST WHAT THE DOCTOR ORDERED. I cannot take cholesterol medications for some reason, but I have already made over 20 of the great dishes in this book, and even my HUSBAND is eating them. Wonderful, useful, helpful book, and a great seller and price to boot. Who could ask for anything more?
The recipes that I have tried have been tasty and easy to make. My husband recently had a heart attack and is diabetic so finding recipes that fit the bill have been somewhat difficult. He has been overwhelmed and has thought that he wouldn't be able to have good tasting healthy meals. This book has helped with that. I have only tried one chocolate cookie recipe that I would not make again and that could be because I had substituted all Splenda for the sugar. Those were pretty flavorless and had a funny texture.
I should have known that due to the year this cookbook was published, the recommendations are outdated, such as: Margarine is no longer a healthy substitute for butter. The recipes are quite typical for foods that were popular at the time. We will most likely use it as a loose guideline to prepare low-cholesterol meals.
If you need to be on a low fat low cholesterol diet, this book is a must have. Besides you cannot go wrong with a book published by the American Heart Association for learning good recipe for something you are trying to get under control.

I had a pamphlet from the American Heart Association from the early 70's. This book incorporates that pamphlet, has many more recipes and wonderful pictures of the dishes. The recipes are really good. I highly recommend it. Doesn't matter that it was published in the 70's.

Or are dragging along at the back of the pack.We know we were meant for more. Yet we end up settling for less.We’re frustrated about where we are. I purchased the book "Greater" by same author and then I added this devotional, and I would tell anyone that read the book to be SURE to also get the 40 day experience devotional!I have read many books on trying to figure out what your purpose on Earth is for the Kingdom, and none of them has even been a clue and a half close to what they claimed I would be on my way to knowing, if not actually know, by the time I finished the book...THIS book did just that!I do want to add one thing that was NOT in the book.... in order to find your purpose, you have to1. Find a Void that is missing in the world/your area, etc.2. Be passionate about wanting to see that void filled/changedTHEN, I believe reading the book and the devotional will help to guide you to find your purpose!
Altering struggling with what to do for devotions for awhile, this was a great way to break from the normal routine.Ps Furtick doesn't give you cheesy quotes and pat little answers that doesn't deal with real life.

I love this devotional!!! A great reminder of the purpose God has given me and to bold in pursuing it every day. Each devotional has been exactly what I needed to hear and pray for.
